How Far Along: 35 weeks. 

Weight Gain: About 15 pounds. 

Maternity Clothes: I mostly wear Trent’s sweatshirts, streachy pants, and Bearpaw boots.  

Pregnancy Perk: Trent gets me soft serve ice cream from Brookside whenever I want. (: Haha I like that!

Baby Purchases this week: Nope! None. But we got Toby and Cate the cutest wrist rattles and sweater for their baby girl. 

Gender: Baby boy. 

Movement: Constant. He’s getting big!

Food Cravings: Mostly I just like ice cubes, sprite icees, soft serve ice cream, potatoes, pineapples, and peas. (: Haha Trent is soooo sick of having pineapple with every meal I cook, but he just mostly just laughs about it. 

Food Aversions: Chicken and anything with lots of salt, garlic too - which sucks because I like garlic. 

How’s Mama? Ehhh, it’s been hard. Ready for him to be here and not be throwing up or dealing with the anemia side effects.  But I feel optimistic, and excited, and I’m not nervous about anything. He will be here so soon!

What I am looking forward to: Christmas, New Years, Jessa’s wedding, my birthday, due date! Valentine’s Day, Trent’s birthday. (: Yuppp, we have a lot going on in the next few weeks.

A recent paper, which looked at the conservation status of the families of species that appeared in Finding Nemo, has some pretty stark findings. Many of the animals from the beloved movie, such as Sheldon the seahorse, Bruce the shark, Crush the sea turtle, Mr. Ray the eagle ray, and Nigel the pelican, are listed as threatened by the authors of the study. More troubling, we’re critically lacking in information for many beloved marine species. We may not now how precarious the ocean situation is until species or even entire families start disappearing.
